QUICK START
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  1. Extract this archive to a normal, writable folder.
  2. Double-click mh_Photomicrography_Tool_Win_x64_v2_0_0.exe
  3. Pick a Lens Type (Camera Lens or Microscope Objective), enter your rig
and sensor details, then click Calculate.
  4. Help > User Manual opens the full manual; hover any field for a tooltip.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  Operating system Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
Runtime None - Python and all libraries are bundled in the exe
  Display 1920 x 1080 or larger recommended
  Internet Not required to run

WHAT IT DOES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
  - Physical and equivalent (crop-scaled) magnification
  - Infinity-objective tube-lens scaling; Raynox DCR-150 / DCR-250 as tube lens
  - Field of view, object pixel size, sensor diagonal, pixel coverage
  - Depth of field (camera macro model and objective diffraction + detector
model, scaled by imaging-medium refractive index)
  - Effective f-number, light loss in stops, Airy disk
  - Selectable diffraction criterion (Strict / Standard / Practical) with a
    suggested sweet-spot aperture
  - Rayleigh resolution and Nyquist sampling verdict
  - Bidirectional focus stacking: drive by depth of field, step size, or frame
    count, with effective-overlap read-out
  - Stacking modes: Motorised Rail, Manual Focus Steps, Single Shot
  - Live Auto-calculate (on by default): every change recomputes instantly and
the step / frame fields stay editable, so you can fiddle to a target

FILES
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Profiles JSON - save and reload every input field per rig
Results Plain-text export of the calculated outputs
This is a calculator; it does not open or process image or video files.

The executable is code-signed (Certum OV, RFC-3161 timestamped) so the
signature remains valid after certificate expiry. It was submitted to the
Microsoft Defender (WDSI) file submission service and then to VirusTotal
  prior to release.

On first launch Windows SmartScreen may prompt for a newly seen signed
binary: choose More info > Run anyway. Reputation builds over time.
